📖 Wasteland Extraction: Survivor's Guide

Welcome to the Wasteland. Since the game is currently in Beta, this temporary guide will help you navigate the brutal loop of extraction. A native in-game tutorial and keybinding menu are under development.

🛠️ Phase 1: Preparation (The Hideout)

You start with nothing. Going in "naked" is a death sentence. Before leaving the community, visit the local NPCs to gear up:

🔫 Getting Armed & Ammo Logic

  • The Commander: If you lack a weapon, purchase a Scrap Rifle KIT for 5 Coins.
  • Equipping Your Gun: Press [E] to open your inventory. Drag your weapon to the Primary Gun Slot.
  • Magazines & Reloading: A gun must have a magazine equipped to be reloaded. Drag a compatible magazine onto the gun to equip it.
  • Ammunition: Check your gun’s info to see the required caliber. To reload using [R], compatible ammunition must be inside your Backpack, not just in your Stash.
  • Attachments: Drag compatible attachments (stocks, magazines, muzzles and sights) onto the gun to equip them. To remove any part, [RIGHT CLICK] the weapon and select Remove.

🎒 Armor & Supplies

  • Armor & Backpacks: Drag these items into their respective slots on your loadout.
  • The Doctor: Buy Medical Supplies (Medkits, Bandages) to restore health.
  • The Barman: Buy Provisions (Food and Water) to maintain your Energy and Hydration.
  • Rotating Items: While grabbing an item with [LEFT CLICK], press [R] to rotate it to fit better in your inventory or stash.

🛡️ Safe Zone

  • The Community: This is a designated safe zone. Combat and firing weapons are strictly disabled here.

🏃 Phase 2: The Excursion (The Wasteland)

Talk to the Commander and pay 1 Coin to be transported to the Wasteland.

🧭 Navigation & Extraction

  • The Compass: A Compass UI will point toward the nearest Extraction Zone. Note that multiple extraction points may exist; the compass dynamically updates to lead you to the closest one.
  • Boundaries: The area is enclosed by a perimeter wall. Do not attempt to leave the combat zone; focus on the objective.
  • Survival: Open your inventory [E], [RIGHT CLICK] on food or medkits, and select Use to restore your stats in real-time.

🚩 Successful Extraction

Find the marked extraction area and press [F] to begin. Stay within the zone until the timer finishes. Leaving the area will cancel the extraction process.

📈 Phase 3: Profit (Gaining Score)

To earn Score and secure your share of the Daily Reward Pool:

  1. Visit NPCs: Talk to NPCs in the community to check their active Deliveries.
  2. Item Detection: NPCs will only detect items that are inside your Backpack. Items left in the Stash or equipped slots will not count toward delivery requirements.
  3. Rewards: Hand over the requested items (up to 3 different types per NPC) to receive Score.
  4. Skipping: You can skip a delivery for 1 Coin (grants no Score).

🎒 Inventory Management

  • [E] - Open/Close Inventory
  • [LEFT CLICK] - Grab item (Release to place/equip)
  • [RIGHT CLICK] - Item information and actions (Use, Remove, Divide)
  • [SHIFT + LEFT CLICK] - Quick transfer between containers
  • [R] — Rotate item (while holding it)

🔫 Combat & Action

  • [1] - Equips Primary Weapon
  • [2] - Equips Secondary Weapon
  • [3] - [6] - Quick Use slots
  • [LEFT CLICK] - Fire Weapon
  • [RIGHT CLICK] - Aim: Increases accuracy and expands your field of vision (Viewport).
  • [R] - Reload (Requires Magazine equipped and Ammo in Backpack)

⚠️ Survival Tip: Durability is key. A broken gun or ruined armor is useless. Always check item stats before a raid!
